Unclear building quote? Questions worth asking
Use uncertainty as a reason to clarify, without assuming wrongdoing.
Pressure to decide immediately
Ask why a deadline applies, how long the quote remains valid and whether you have time to review the terms. Be cautious about paying before you understand the scope or contracting business.
Vague answers or verbal promises
Ask for exact products, dates, inclusions and exclusions. If something matters to your decision, have it added to the written quotation or an agreed attachment.
Large gaps in the paperwork
Clarify payment stages, responsibility for damage, insurance, required certificates and aftercare. If an important point remains unanswered, consider further independent advice before proceeding.
